The e-process competence centre
Within the Enterprise Solutions branch, GFI focuses in Belgium and Luxembourg on delivering “e-process” and “e-business” solutions that increase enterprise performances through a better management of its business processes. GFI offers collaboration and information management solutions that enable our customers to face daily challenges that force them to be more agile, to be innovative, and to continuously improve and optimise their way of working. Enterprise solution projects integrate leading industry solutions to deliver real business value.
Our BeLux based “e-process” competence centre is able to support these initiatives worldwide by offering integrated solutions that allow for optimal synchronisation of people, applications and information within flexible business processes.
Collaboration & Communication
This line of solutions aims at fostering the collaboration and knowledge sharing between people (employees, clients, suppliers, and partners).
Traditionally, this offering was limited to email exchange and agenda sharing. Over the last few years, it has been growing towards feature-rich platforms that integrate several collaboration channels (e.g. web meetings, team rooms) and knowledge sharing means (e.g. profiles, wiki, blog, forums).
Information Management
This line of solutions focuses on an efficient management of information flows within the organization. This requires to put in place solutions that aggregate various information channels (paper, email, electronic documents), integrate them inside business processes and deliver them in a targeted by to the right people and through various channels.
Technology competences
Our solutions are composed of standard software, custom developed software, or a combination of both. GFI is able to offer in-depth expertise through strong partnerships with proven software vendors. With regard to Enterprise Solutions, GFI has a strategic focus on IBM software, Microsoft software, and JAVA/Open Source software.
GFI partners with technology companies that provide the basic building blocks for our solutions. These partnerships are strategic in the offering of GFI which means that:
- We build strong local competences on the products of these selected partners
- The products of these partners are key in the internal competence maintenance
- The partnership is actively managed and regular technical, sales and management meetings are held between GFI and the partner
- GFI also certifies as official partner towards this partner, with appropriate certification levels
- We provide professional training on these products
- GFI actively promotes these products and acts as a reseller and often 1st line of support
IBM
GFI is IBM Premier Business Partner which means we have demonstrated superior skills and market success. We actively collaborate with IBM to deliver significant client value through innovative solutions.
Premier Business Partner is the highest possible level of partnership. Qualification for membership levels is based on demonstrating skills through certifications and verified solutions, driving IBM revenue, submitting client references and achieving customer satisfaction.
GFI is also a member of the IBM international Business Partner Executive Council. In this council, IBM meets the most important IBM business partners every quarter to discuss vision and strategy regarding IBM and the five software brands: Lotus, Websphere, Information Management, Tivoli, and Rational.
Microsoft
GFI is a top level of Microsoft solutions partner and has access to the tools and support we need to help us stand out in the marketplace. At this level we have the opportunity to maintain a close working relationship with Microsoft, and we are guaranteed, at minimum, telephone-based account engagement from Microsoft, along with other top-level benefits such as a priority listing in the Microsoft Resource Directory.
GFI BeLux has created a Microsoft Competence Centre in order to respond to the needs of our Microsoft oriented customers. In a very competitive market, GFI proposes its customers to optimise their IT investments (Microsoft Office, Windows Server, SQL Server, ERP, third party applications). In order to achieve this goal, the GFI consultants ensure high value add performance in four dimensions:
- Custom development with .Net
- Business Intelligence with SQL Server
- Collaborative environments with Sharepoint
- Integration based on middleware with BizTalk
Java/Open Source
GFI has a strong partnership with Alfresco and with Liferay.
Alfresco is GFI’s Open Source answer to Electronic Document Management projects, providing an excellent alternative to traditional products. Alfresco integrates with Microsoft Office and Open Office, which mean our customers can continue to work within their traditional desktop environment without the need for extra training.
Alfresco transforms a simple network based file system in a system of virtual files, enriched with document management applications and features. In some cases, the Alfresco DMS is integrated with a portal solution such as Liferay or IBM Websphere. Different integration models are possible depending on the typology of customer needs and requirements.
Liferay is a worldwide provider of leading Open Source Enterprise Portals. The goal of our partnership is use our experience in consultancy and large project integration in order to deploy collaborative portal platforms based on the Liferay Enterprise Edition offering. This offering will allow our customers to better manage the sharing and distribution of information, to improve the decision process by building management information systems, and/or to conquer the commercial online market by deploying Web2.0 oriented eBusiness platforms.
Other technology partners
GFI’s Web Content Management offering includes WebDotNsf, IBM WCM, FatWire and Tridion. These are complemented by search & classification solutions of IBM OmniFind and Autonomy Verity, scanning software from KoFax and mobility solutions from Blackberry and Lotus Traveler software.
GFI also offers a number of off-the-shelve products such as iEnterprises iExtentions (CRM), Intravision Ontime, Group Solutions IQSuite, IONet Archiver, Trilog Group ProjExec, and others...
In addition, GFI distributes the offering of Nat Systems in the Benelux, including the leading Client/Server platform NatStar and NSDK.
